Meet Ramiro Leal of LOS ANGELES, CA | Voyage LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ramiro Leal

Ramiro, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?

Hey there! First of all, thank you so much for having me—it’s a real pleasure to be here today. From a young age, I was captivated by the power of storytelling, whether it was losing myself in the world of movies or imagining life through the eyes of different characters. That passion quickly grew into something bigger as I realized I wanted to make storytelling my life’s work. Fast forward to today, and I’m grateful to be living out that dream as a professional actor, right here in the vibrant, creative heart of Los Angeles. Every day, I get to bring stories to life and connect with audiences in ways I never imagined, and that’s something I truly cherish.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

I’m happy to say that, for the most part, the road has been fairly smooth. Like any journey, there are always ups and downs, but being prepared has helped me navigate those moments and pivot when necessary. One of the biggest turning points for me was recognizing that storytelling isn’t just a passion—it’s a business. Once I opened myself up to understanding the business side of the industry, I found that my path became much clearer. I was able to dive deeper into my craft while also building connections with other like-minded creatives who are just as driven and thriving in what they do. Surrounding myself with these people has allowed me to grow both as an artist and as a professional, making the challenges feel more like stepping stones than setbacks.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

Over the past few years, I’ve dedicated myself to mastering the art of storytelling on screen, which has led to multiple film credits and a solid reputation in the film industry. My versatility is one of my greatest strengths, allowing me to excel in both leading and supportive roles. My projects have not only premiered in the U.S. but have also received international acclaim, resonating with audiences worldwide.

In addition to my film work, I’ve made a significant mark in the commercial sector, leading global advertising campaigns for major brands like Red Robin, Clamato, and Experian. These campaigns have showcased my ability to connect with diverse audiences, particularly across the United States and Latino markets, highlighting my broad appeal and dynamic presence.

While I can’t divulge too many details about the films currently in production, I’m excited to share that I recently wrapped up a horror feature film and a national commercial. I’m also gearing up for another feature film, set to begin in the coming weeks, where I’ll bring yet another captivating story to life.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?

One of the most profound lessons I’ve learned during the Covid-19 crisis is that our industry not only survives but thrives amid chaos. It’s remarkable, really—despite the unprecedented challenges, we came together as a community, united in our resolve to keep storytelling alive. We adapted quickly, finding new and safe ways to continue our work while strictly adhering to health protocols. This period reinforced my belief in the old adage, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way!” It was inspiring to see our collective creativity and resilience in action, proving that no matter the circumstances, we can find a way to keep the cameras rolling and the action alive.
