Deadline: Anathema

EXCLUSIVE: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre actress Caroline Williams is leading Anathema: The Devil’s Doll, an indie horror pic that begins shooting this month. The pic, from director Marcel Walz and Anathema LLC, follows what happens when a carefree night of partying takes a sinister turn when a group of friends stumble upon an ancient curse and are forced to survive until dawn as a malevolent force begins hunting them. Principle photography is underway. Also featuring in the cast are Robert Craighead (Strange Darling), Ramiro Leal (Brute 1986), Bix Krieger (VHS: Beyond), Esmeree Sterling (Shaft), Erika K. Marks (Stiletto), Kasia Szarek (Pleasure), Theo Rosenfeld (Witch Hunter), Brandon Papo (American Horror Stories), Monte Pittman (Garden of Eden), Nicholas Olbina (Rhythm is a Dancer), Dean Benfit, Olga Loera and Aris Le Beau. Producers are Brendan Petrizzo and Michael P. Call, with Marc Gotlieb the writer. Call is co-writer. The plan is to release the indie pic in 2026. A first look image can be seen above.
