Actor, Model & Producer | Shoutout LA

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ramiro Leal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ramiro, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?

Perseverance has been one of the most crucial habits in my journey. I’ve learned that success often comes at the intersection of preparation and opportunity, and it’s the dedication to keep pushing forward that opens those doors. A strong drive and a focused vision allow me to see the positives during low points and maintain momentum when things are going well. For me, it’s about continuously showing up, knowing that each step forward brings me closer to the goals I’ve set. This mindset has helped me stay resilient in the face of setbacks, and it’s been key to turning challenges into growth opportunities.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to authenticity and connection. I’m driven to tell stories that resonate universally, often blending humor with deeper themes that encourage reflection. I’m proud of the versatility I’ve developed as both an actor and creator—whether it’s in horror, comedy, or something unexpected, I aim to bring genuine emotion to every project and create moments that stick with audiences long after they’ve watched.

Getting to this point professionally hasn’t been easy, and that’s a big part of what I’m most proud of. There were times when I faced setbacks, and in those moments, I had to rely on my resilience and passion to keep going. I learned early on that every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and that sometimes, failure is the best teacher. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to trust the process and stay patient. Success rarely happens overnight; it’s about showing up consistently, even when things feel tough.

Through it all, I want the world to know that my brand and story are about more than just entertainment. It’s about connecting people through storytelling, highlighting universal experiences, and showing that we’re all in this together. At the end of the day, I hope my journey inspires others to embrace their own paths, no matter how unconventional, and to stay true to what makes them unique.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

If my best friend came to town for a week, we’d definitely make the most of LA’s mix of culture, food, and energy. Here’s how I’d plan it:

Day 1: Start with brunch at Republique for incredible pastries and a laid-back LA vibe. Then, head to Griffith Observatory for some city views and a hike to get a feel for the city’s landscape. We’d wrap up with dinner at Guelaguetza, a must-visit for Oaxacan food and the best mole in town.

Day 2: We’d dive into LA’s art scene with visits to The Broad and MOCA. Lunch would be at Grand Central Market for a variety of food options, from Eggslut to Tacos Tumbras a Tomas. In the evening, we’d hit The Rooftop at The Standard for drinks and sunset views.

Day 3: A beach day in Malibu is essential! Lunch at Malibu Farm on the pier, then relaxing at El Matador Beach. For dinner, I’d take them to Nobu Malibu—it’s definitely a splurge, but the food and ocean views are unbeatable.

Day 4: Time for some Hollywood vibes. We’d stroll down the Walk of Fame and check out TCL Chinese Theatre. Lunch at Musso & Frank Grill—an LA classic. Then, we’d spend the evening at The Comedy Store on Sunset for some laughs and LA’s stand-up culture.

Day 5: Explore the Venice canals, check out the skate park, and soak in the boardwalk vibes. Grab some tacos at Gjusta for lunch, and in the evening, hit Abbot Kinney Boulevard for unique shops and galleries.

Day 6: A little relaxation at a Korean spa—there’s nothing like it for recharging! In the evening, I’d book us a spot at Bestia in the Arts District for Italian with a modern twist, followed by drinks at Angel City Brewery.

Day 7: End with a low-key day in Silver Lake. Brunch at Sqirl, a stroll around the reservoir, and browsing the independent shops. We’d have a final dinner at Little Dom’s, a cozy spot that’s perfect for a chill wrap-up to an exciting week.

LA is all about the contrast between laid-back and high-energy experiences, and these spots are where you’ll find some of the most interesting people and the best of what the city has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support and mentorship from so many people along the way. My family and close friends have been my foundation—they’re my biggest cheerleaders and the grounding force that keeps me going through all the highs and lows. I’m also grateful to the coaches and mentors I’ve had throughout my journey, each of whom has taught me valuable lessons. Even though not every teacher believed in me, I learned to take the positives to grow and use the negatives as fuel to prove to myself that I could achieve whatever I set my mind to.

Ultimately, it’s the people around me and the stories they share that inspire me to continue pursuing my goals and stay committed to storytelling that connects on a real, human level. It’s truly a team effort, and I’m grateful to everyone who has been a part of my story.
